Friends of the Centennial Trail are pleased to announce completion of its 2013 mapping initiative, focused on access, amenities, rules/etiquette/safety, management and supporting entities of the Spokane River Centennial Trail. One of the great projects was to launch a way for people to have "green" access to the trail map. The Friends of the Centennail Trail have launched a Google Map that can be used on a phone, computer, or other portable devices.
Coming Soon-Spokane EnviroStars – Local Business Protecting Our River & Aquifer
In Spokane, a unique partnership of nine agencies and non-profits created EnviroStars, which makes it easy for you to find and shop at businesses doing their part voluntarily to protect the Spokane River, Aquifer, land and air. EnviroStars businesses are inspected and certified for properly managing and disposing hazardous waste and taking other actions to protect the environment.

Green Living Northwest is proud to announce the addition of “Around the Corner”, a new feature that will be in all new issues of Green Living Northwest. “Around the Corner” is a community guide focused on specific neighborhoods and districts within our great community. Our first featured district will be the South Perry District. “Around the Corner” will feature a calendar of events, photos from the com-munity, a map of participating businesses, and the chance to bring more attention to this wonderful district and the businesses that operate within it.
